Just a small reminder that the last time the U.S. was #1 in shipbuilding was during WW2. Before that, it was in the 1800s. Someone's really aching to turn back time..

A beautiful morning shared by many. More than 100 people were out on the trail before 10 am. Commiserated and laughed with trail friends I made during the pandemic. Community is so important right now.

My baby asparagus plants weren't doing well. An app told me they were overwatered (I've barely watered them all winter), to cut back all the dead plants, and give them aspirin. After I did that I noticed the smallest little asparagus spear I've ever seen.

The Librarian of Burned Books by Brianna Labuskes. Finished this book last night. Set pre/during WWII, but insanely relevant in terms of things happening today. Highly recommend!
