I lost my little buddy tonight. Clyde was 10 years old and he was the sweetest cat and best buddy I could ask for. I'm going to miss him so much, but I'm so happy I had him in my life. I'm just heartbroken. Love ya little buddy.

#OTD in 1964, Nicoletta Elmi was born. She was a staple of 1970s Giallo films playing eerie or ill-fated children. Deep Red, Footprints on the Moon, and Bay of Blood are my faves. #filmsky

#OTD The Castel twins, Catherine and Marie-Pierre, were born in 1949. They appeared in numerous films by Jean Rollin and brought great style and powerful attitude in every performance. My personal favorite is Lips of Blood, but I'm also a sucker for Marie-Pierre in Requiem for a Vampire. #Filmsky

#OTD In 1938 character actor Bo Hopkins was born. One of my favorites from the 70s, he always excelled at playing slightly maladjusted southerners. Was great in American Graffiti and The Killer Elite. Patron Saint of the Manic Depressives. #filmsky

If this Trump tariff bullshit turns into a long term thing, looks like I'll be making homemade chickory coffee. The thing is, I actually LOVE good chickory coffee.

#OTD Messiah of Evil is released, 1974. Unsettling and stylish with a never ending sense of dread. Boasts a top notch cast of character actors and B-Movie starlets of the era: Marianna Hill, Anitra Ford, Joy Bang, Elisha Cook Jr, Royal Dano, and a cameo by director Walter Hill in the opening scene.

#OTD Actress Annie Belle was born, 1956. She worked with European horror masters Jean Rollin, Ruggero Deodato, and Joe D'Amato. After retiring from film she earned a degree in psychology. Sadly died earlier this year at the age of 67. Her performance in D'Amato's "Absurd" is my personal favorite.

#OTD The Incredible Melting Man is released. A supporting cast of Jonathan Demme, Janus Blythe, and Rainbeaux Smith are highly enjoyable in this entertaining "bad movie". Although Smith and Blythe had no shared scenes in this movie, both worked together among other B-Movie starlets... 1/2
