The lake that drained last night and triggered the flood and cascade event (and a new lake in trunk valley) is the highest of a series of three lakes (~4730 m), the only 'ice-contact' lake, but not the largest! 😲

Banner clouds are stationary and form on the downwind flank of steep mountain peaks when there is strong wind and sufficient moisture
