Ever wonder why Stone Mountain doesn’t have runoff elections?

Local power brokers changed the rules — our city elects officials by plurality, not majority.

It’s a system that protects conservative control even though they’re outnumbered.

Voters are given the illusion of voting for change.

Gentrification isn’t just about rising property values. It’s about reshaping who belongs — and using police power to enforce that change.

When long-time residents become “suspicious,” and public spaces become “private investments,” policing shifts from protection to control. #fafo #copcity

📢 Stone Mountain — Make a Plan to Vote! 🗳️

Only 160 people have voted so far out of about 4,200 voters. That's less than 4% of voters.

✅ Bring a friend — every vote counts

Leadership should serve people — not protect insiders.
I believe in open doors, open meetings, and open books. Because your vote and your tax dollars belong to you — not to hidden influencers.

So few people voted in recent elections, at least two Republican-aligned candidates are on the Stone Mountain City Council.

Local elections decide
📍 How your taxes are spent
🏘️ Who controls zoning and development
🚓 How policing and youth programs are handled
🌳 Whether our greenspaces are protected

On Tuesday, June 17th, the millage rate will be set. Will Council Members vote for the roll back rate or will they vote to raise your taxes?

For many, the freedoms they fought to secure remained out of reach. We must fiercely guard the freedoms for which they laid down their lives, ensuring the liberties they envisioned endure for generations. Their sacrifice is a charge to us all, a call to vigilance and a pledge to uphold justice.

What are they afraid of finding out? If these council members were concerned about fraud, why would they vote no to transparency, AGAIN? Were any city employees illegally using bank login credentials that should have been deactivated?

Is anything ever really nonpartisan? With the coming municipal elections, beware of gift givers. If you don't know what a Trojan Horse is, how will you know one when you see it?
