Sauron forged his forces in fire and Galadriel’s strategy literally and figuratively flew like water. They were each other’s match.

Galadriel, in return, coordinated the overall effort against him while struggling with the decision as to whether if she would replace him once defeated, or kill that part of herself. 3/4

When Sauron was left without a master and free to rollout his own plan, he realized that it was impossible to deceive Galadriel and from that moment onward, according to Tolkien, saw her as his primary adversary. 2/4

“Beautiful” and “grotesque” are the words that inspired this quick project (when I realize a sudden idea fast and loose in between two drawings it’s “a quick one”).
