Alt text on images makes a real difference for people with visual impairments and anyone that could do with a bit more context. If you go to menu > settings > accessibility you can “require alt text before posting” to basically force yourself to remember to do it.

My landlord's cut down all the bushes and shrubs in the garden. For no good reason. Where are all the birds going to go? - presumably not our garden any more 😢

Use your libraries. Books, newspapers, magazines, warm spaces, family history, literacy and financial support, community meet ups, events.

Authors, use them for book talks. You’ll be championed and invited back whenever possible.
