Re: Paul Rothrock: my understanding is a few teams showed "real interest" and were prepared to offer him the max they could. I don't know if San Jose was one of those teams, but Rothrock ultimately decided to take less money to stay in Seattle.

I will say having seen the quakes 2025 jersey, I didn’t like it at first but it did a great job reducing the teamgeist template to “barely noticeable”
