@lkrauss1.bsky.social sir im working on an intriguing hypothesis: a lot of you bug looking freakmen turn into sex pests resulting from 1. A devastating lack of "game" and 2. Looking like Alan dershowitz but BOTH factors MUST be present any comment sir?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Oh my god what a pathetic loser with zero game lmao @lkrauss1.bsky.social

@mpbx3003.bsky.social Real scientists would be horrified by this and maybe discount me entirely as a total noob

#Botany #ecology #evolution #biology I think I cracked the creosote ring code, supported by a synthesis of: new data (structural imperative) and existing foundational ideas (McAuliffe, Laport, Clarke).

Omfg. The creosote ring is an "individual", separate from the shrub and with different goals. In the Mojave especially, it has become the Selector! This is why the shrub behaves different from the ring. O M G @scottzona.bsky.social

Here is the working theory. Key would be proving the Ontogenetic Switch regarding how the canopy appears to fan out greatly for single shrubs but not for ancient rings.
November 11, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Super cool. Im honing in on proving ancient creosote rings are actually an instinsic survival function, rather than due to some "central die off" or outright lack of water. I think their slow growth is key to their longevity (obviously). If this interests you I have more !
November 11, 2025 at 5:10 PM
@scottzona.bsky.social Early results from width/length/precip study supports an intrinsic ringing function in L. tridentata so far!
November 11, 2025 at 4:57 PM
Welp it happened for the first time: a ancient creosote ring in my database was wiped out by normal development. Won't be the last
November 11, 2025 at 4:10 AM
Why do creosote shrubs form rings at extreme ages? The prevailing view is that the central area dies off due to lack of resorces. I think this is incorrect. I think we are not seeing a failure of growth but a masterful engineering success! Any input? #botany #ecology

Do yourself a favor and pickup the Entry Grade RX-78-2 from Michael's. its like 20 bucks, comes with tons of extra weapons, and is a great entry point for #gunpla. i built it in about 2 hours but I was slacking. No stickers! No glue! Good fun kit to see if you enjoy the hobby young or old

These ones on ESPN plus drive me insane. Just 120 seconds of this and wind sounds. Show me a commercial damn wtf
November 9, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Again, they still try to ring in the extreme winds of Palm Springs, even when they apparently dont need to. I think this is HUGE
November 9, 2025 at 7:13 PM
@scottzona.bsky.social observation on ancient Larrea tridentata rings: A young shrub will seek to increase the size of its canopy and put apparently little energy into terrestrial outward expansion. But then, something happens, and it appears to do to the opposite behavior entirely

Ok I found it and I stand corrected- FORMER mayor and this makes much more sense sorry everyone

AI will tell you that this information is readily nonavailable but I am a huge fan so I'll enlighten the group: what you see there is a classic Chicago Bridge and Iron "Horton hemispherical bottom" water tower. I know it from miles away- its one of the most common elevated tank designs of the 1920s
