Apparent procrastinator...since it's taken me months to fill this out.
After losing my job at the end of August, I'm losing my damn mind. Job hunting these days is really hard
I just want ONE interview.

Ok Loft. I give up. If you promise to never email me again, I promise to only buy from you.

That is a lie. I hate you so much right now.

One of these days I'm going to take a "real" vacation...you know, one where no one can actually expect a response.

Yeah, I need to schedule that.

On the third book I requested and received for Christmas...I think I've already read this one too.

I need a new To Be Read system...

Figured out a way to semi-automate (and successfully) execute an onerous and time consuming new work task that was unceremoniously dropped into my lap a few weeks ago. Let the celebration/weekend commence!

The semi-retired Husband: "I need a vacation."

Me: "Give me a flipping break! I've been asking for one for YEARS!"

Why no; I'm not irate about it at all...why do you ask?

What is up with some of these " influencers " on Instagram who are pushing organizational products but they keep stacking them in front of each other so you can't get to whatever's in the back stack without removing the front stack?

Just cracked open a book that I specifically requested for Christmas and received.

Friends... I've already read this book.

Thanks (not) to those who ruined a good thing re: our hybrid work policy by not following the rules...

*sigh* we can't have anything nice because of you.

The deal seems to be that people can largely live like in pre-pandemic times as long as we accept getting miserably ill maybe twice a year (especially during family holidays), accept heightened risks of long-term health problems, and let old/vulnerable folks die. Doesn’t seem like a good deal to me.

Husband: What are your plans today?

Me: To to finish wrapping gifts and get this house clean.

Him: *nods* Ok, I'm going to go get some coffee.

And then they wonder why we want to murder them sometimes.

In keeping with our "tradition" it seems the dishwasher may have kicked the bucket just in time for the holiday.

We are at the finish line! Are y'all ready? I think I am finally, minus three gifts left to wrap and the inevitable last minute cleaning.

Looking at my stocking stuffer ratio to stockings to stuff and wondering if random, loose pods of Cascade dishwasher pods count as stuffers...

If you want to know how bad things are with COVID right now, just be aware that the CDC Director is recommending that people wear masks in public again.

Extremely 👍🏼 Think what you wish. Add some if you fancy. I am reminded of this quote:

“I am not responsible for actions of the imaginary version of me you have inside your head.”

So our company is embracing "diversity & inclusiveness." Which is awesome...in theory. Until you are told, this thing is mandatory (who cares if it makes you uncomfortable).

Granted, that parenthetical isn't said out loud...but it might as well have been.

Let the annual cursing while you try to figure out why the lights on the tree won't work begin.

At the rehearsal, my son walked into the room and I immediately teared up. Why should I even bother with makeup tomorrow? It will be gone before it even begins.

Happy Thanksgiving! Done and dusted. Steamrolling on to The Wedding...

Am I exhausted by the thought of it all; nevermind Christmas looming...why yes, I am.
November 24, 2023 at 3:28 AM
I wonder...how did our moms survive Thanksgiving without texting? My God, they must have spent more time on the actual phone than they did preparing.

I know we all know this but just a reminder, get ALL the free tests your household is owed, every time, even if you still have a stockpile because it’s one of the few direct tools we have to communicate to the government that WE STILL NEED FREE TESTS and there’s still high demand for COVID resources

I think the Roomba has escaped... I can't find it anywhere.

If I never want to see dirty dishes in the sink, while the dishwasher is empty and ready for dirty dishes, I will have to live alone.

*Deep breath* Apparently, my plea for a clean sink has fallen on deaf ears. I may need bail money.

It's 9 pm. No, actually it's 8 pm. Until tomorrow, when everything changes. Oh my God, I HATE time change weekend.
