And of course Jesus never called his followers to a physical fight with other humans. All the physical warrior imagery is just not Christ-honoring. Jesus calls his followers to serve, not to “win.”

The gift: They remain her favorites and will never, ever have to bear the burden of being the one to do this uncomfortable thing with a parent. I know it was the best and right thing to do. But my heavens, the personal cost. Life will never be the same as it was before 2025. 2/2
