Ravens beat reporter for The Baltimore Banner | articles fueled by lattes or bad press box coffee
That one-two punch of Derrick Henry and Keaton Mitchell on that drive feels like exactly what Ravens fans have been dreaming of.

One-two-three if you include Lamar Jackson's keeper.

oh, look! it's derrick henry!

DeAndre Hopkins, who ate his 11-year-old daughter's sweet potato pie yesterday, just made his 1,000th career catch. He's the 18th WR ever to do so.

DeAndre Hopkins does NOT like that OPI on Zay Flowers' touchdown.

Lamar Jackson follows up a bad pass with an incredible scrambling, off-script play to Isaiah Likely.

Those two had one of last season's highlights vs. the Bengals last year.

What more can you say about Kyle Hamilton? Rushes Burrow on the blitz -- on the replay, you can see him running in front of the camera toward the pocket -- yet manages to backtrack and tackle Perine short of the first down marker and force a FG. Doing it on an apparently bum ankle.

Jordan Stout... MVP(unter)

While that's not what you want to see from the Ravens offense vs any defense but especially Cincinnati's... you could not ask for annnnything more from the Ravens defense on that goal-line stand.

It's versus the league's worst defense, but it's a start.

Good to see the Ravens' offense start off with a bang.

"Outside of Baltimore, who was going to love Joe Flacco until recently?” Steve Flacco said to Childs Walker in his latest Flacco profile
www.thebanner.com/sports/raven...
Joe Flacco has become something better than ‘elite’
Flacco is 40 now, near the end (presumably) of a tortuous career that has somehow led to him being one of our most liked athletes.

QB Lamar Jackson, S Kyle Hamilton, DT Travis Jones, WR Rashod Bateman and CB Keyon Martin all returned to practice.

DL Taven Bryan (knee) remained missing. RB Justice Hill was also missing.

Hamilton was working with the linebackers.

The Ravens defense 💜s Jordan Stout.

If nothing else happens in this game, the Ravens scored from third-and-1. That's not something you see every day.

Kyle Hamilton is truly built different.

His teammates last year described him to me as an "alien." He certainly seems to have inhuman regenerative healing powers.

Nate Wiggins gives Shedeur Sanders his first INT of his NFL career. Or should I say Sanders gave it to Wiggins. Dropped it right into his arms, could see that play develop from a mile away.

The Ravens defense should be frustrated -- they've held the Browns to 0-7 on third down. The Browns have less plays, less yardage, less yards per play but more points.

This season has been a slow flip from offense carrying the D to D keeping the team in games.

When I think back to this game years from now, I will remember it by the phrase "Lamar Jackson is sacked by Myles Garrett."

I reallllllllly want to be a fly on the wall for the Ravens' halftime speech.
November 16, 2025 at 10:48 PM
With the Steelers' win over the Bengals, the Ravens reallllly need to win to keep up in the race for the AFC North. But they don't look like they're aware of how important this game is with all these careless mistakes.
