Genuinely wild though that there hasn't been a big blockbuster about Giuseppe Garibaldi yet, like it was literally *THE* hero, fighting for everyone's indipendence against big empires, slavery and being pro workers' rights, racial equality and the emancipation of women

At least I hope the script wasn't actually written by AI, and if it was that they actually proofread it

So I have to take this course on (generative) AI at my workplace, narrated by an AI voice and with a fake AI avatar staring directly into my soul while its mouth moves incoherently...

Also the PDPA was extremely unpopular in Afghanistan by that point due to how violent and unpopular their reforms were, they were desperate for a soviet intervention to help repress the population, on the other side you've got most of the afghanis

The story was actually pretty good, but undermined by some questionable to terrible pacing and writing at times + very average acting on the part of Guillermo Del Toro and most of the cast

The 2 exceptions being Higgs (Troy Baker) and Cliff (Mads Mikkelsen

And GOOD GOD, did Mads Mikkelsen deliver-

Idk, you tell me

"There were instructions to infiltrate left wing groups and provoke social tension by carrying out attacks and then blame them on the left"

Something the CIA has done time and time again in countless other countries throughout the 20th century
