I have approximate knowledge of many things
No, they really haven't. Calling spectral peaks vowels is as inane as saying that because my washing up gloves are also yellow, they have the same nutritional content as a banana. Zero evidence of vowel-like function. It's pure clickbait, and a new low in irresponsible claims from this group 🙄🐳🦑🧪
CETI scientists have discovered vowel and diphthong-like patterns in sperm whale communication! Read: bit.ly/3WSn9rc

Also like, maybe someone should have showed them anime from the 90s to early 2000s era where there was a push for more realistic anime

Idk, things like Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade, GITS, Patlabor 2, Magnetic Rose etc.

There's probably also an "Italian brainrot" movie in the works and I don't think I'm mentally ready to see the announcement

The Death Stranding 3 we'll never get from Kojima

Nah, it's for your political takes, kind of expected really, given the comments + the AI profile picture

Well, Fincantieri Marinette Marine, Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding and Fincantieri ACE Marine in the US are all owned by Italy's Fincantieri group

Also, european F-35s are built about 100 kms from where I live

Brother, we're literally building your next generation of ships, your new marine's amphibious vehicle and, if your own companies didn't lobby so hard (aside from the general bad look it would've given) your president would be riding on an EU made helicopter right now (AW-101)

When the EU was a pioneer in computer tech in the 60s (with Olivetti), i.e. arguably the most important foundational years for the industry, the US torpedoed it by having the main engineer and the entrepreneur behind it both killed and then have american companies acquire parts Olivetti

Yeah, that's the thing, I'm not talking about recent years, all throughout the Cold War this has been a thing... remember how Germany was devolping a stealth fighter all on its own in the 80s until it got cancelled due to US pressure?
November 7, 2025 at 11:53 AM
You say that as if European countries just foamed at the mouth to buy US equipment, reality is, in most cases it was the US pressuring/lobbying governments to not develop their own systems and buy the US made ones instead

Just as I thought, we're likely not getting Artemis 3 off the ground until the 2030s...

Same thing happened to me while visiting Shirakawago in Japan in 2024 😭

I had literally just bought a very cool handmade card holder made by a local artisan in the outskirts of Nikko, put my card in there and 2 days later I had already lost them... 😭

For a city famous for selling 1 liter pints of beer you'd think they'd know better and put toilets like every 100 meters or so
October 30, 2025 at 2:21 PM
Oh you haven no idea, in certain European cities they are sorely needed

Been to Munich at night after drinking 2 liters of beer and we couldn't find *any* toilets in the historic centre,so we did like Germans were doing (not my proudest moment but I wasn't going to wait for my bladder to explode) 😭

They're very recent but they already have quite a story 💀

Yeah, since it's a movie they likely took their time with it, but there's some japanese animators working for TV shows which are praised even among the best of animators because they can get through complex scenes extremely quickly, the most famous one being Yutaka Nakamura
