Well... I have begun to pursue an ADHD diagnosis, which has been really validating. If medication enters the mix, I am so desperate to find out how that impacts my writing —my ability to focus on my projects has been in steep decline these past few years

Haven’t had much time to write since my writing getaway/destress isolation stretch of 4 days but upon reviewing my work… I need to scrap a good portion of what I wrote for being the wrong approach to a character’s first POV

Embarking on an isolated 4 day writing retreat in the middle of a forest tomorrow and I can’t think of anything I want or need more

In 2025, I’d like to invite people to purposefully read more dense and/or complex prose.

There is nothing wrong with
reading slow or reading something multiple times.

There’s no shame in looking up the definition of words or writing out plot events to analyze their importance.

I ticked over the new year by writing 5k words and the biggest character move in my story 🎉

My partner, who I have not shown much of my novel to, thought that my deuteragonist/protagonist’s partner in crime is an attractive and muscular man. Had to break it to her that he is frightening to look at, unkempt, and about as sturdy as a wafer

Deleted an embarrassing typo, returning to lurking obscurity, farewell!!

I’ve done a lot of writing recently but unfortunately not the scene I NEED to write, but the emotional peak that comes right after it. My plan for the new week is to actually get back to task and save the self indulgence for when it is chronologically relevant
