I think it’s easy for a lot of us to hear things like that and get defensive because “Well it’s not my fault, I didn’t set up society.” The thing is though, whether we asked to or not, we’re benefiting from it. Anybody who benefits from injustice has a responsibility to help set it right.

Like, I get it. It’s not nice to be reminded that you’re only in the position that you’re in because society is built on white supremacy. Take that feeling, and use it to help make the world better, kinder and fairer. The POC around you aren’t your emotional babysitters.

The media is going to learn absolutely nothing from this. The next time Democrats are in power, conservatives are just gonna rebrand "political correctness" to something new and we're gonna do it all over again.
