I think there are more than a few who realise the next administration is probably going to be Blue and who are greedily eying off the increase in government power and oversight they are being gifted, the blame for which will fall on others. "Entrenchment" is the word of the day.

Will be interesting to see if the overall site culture falls back into line with, say, 2016 era Twitter, or if it develops into its own thing. Trolls and bad actors will obviously continue to psychically vampirise anyone who bares their neck and may have an impact on this if they are well-fed.
