showed the little farm in Quest of the Wizard (Quest for Glory callback) and here's the night version. There's a huge transition in-game between day and night and night and day, but I'll leave that for a clip. Anyway here it is.

we're back! sort of. it's not supposed to call them "dungeon bat 1 2" and such, I must not have correctly formatted that for when there's more than 1 family of monster. whoopsies.
other than that, the update control is working, battle still works, all is well. back to tile maps!

aha. found my problem. I have a shit memory. I broke the battle system because I implemented system control such that monobehaviours are grouped as a bunch of systems and then I control when each update behaviour can fire and in what order.
so yeah, fixed it.

realizing my game's battle system is broken. I intended to switch it over to a state machine setup because its complexity grew too much, and I don't think that should have broken it (because all I did was add the machine) but it appears to not start. enemy is bouncing. menu is not showing.

I played a free game, felt revived. Simple art, controls, gameplay, but genuinely a polished puzzle #zeldalike. Although this game is bigger than a game jam, it feels like it has a lot of the game jammy design I'd like to do art for someday if people want to pair up. ansimuz.itch.io/a-meta-data-...
