It feels like a ton of adaptations are like this now. Corporate mandated slavish faithfulness to the superficial "brand" signifiers while ultimately being written by people who don't understand, respect, or care about what they're adapting in a meaningful way. Awful approach.

And look, they don't have to be faithful to the source material at all. That's fine. But the show is so obnoxiously committed to the superficial, and to still including these things, all while utterly failing to pick up on any of what makes that stuff interesting. #Fallout

The NCR? Collapsed
Shady Sands? Nuked
The Strip? Destroyed
The casinos? Abandoned
The Kings? All dead
The Khans? Generic badguys
Novac? Also abandoned
The Legion? One camp of aimless remnants (now dead)
NCR army/rangers? Just two old farts lingering in the desert

Honestly this stuff gives me social anxiety. I'm fine IRL because it's not too hard to tell if you're getting on someone's nerves but online, especially with tools like muting, it can be really hard to tell if people at least nominally like you or if it's the opposite. I hate it.

If these people want to jam you up they're gonna do it no matter what the law says. I'm not saying you should make it as easy as possible for them but just know that "posting this could hypothetically maybe get you in trouble" applies to basically everything at this point.

I know most people, myself included, aren't gonna do this. We're just not this selfless or brave. If you truly believe the lives of the people around the globe that America has brutalized are worth no less than yours tho, I don't see how you can conclude anything else.

America is not complicated. It's not a country that has made mistakes or done bad things sometimes. It's an evil empire, founded on genocide and governed by no morality, that has done nothing but terrorize and destabilize and loot the entire world. The worst country in the world by far.
