I play games and turn coffee into code.
Please don't tell me these are the "apprenticeships" they want everyone to start taking once they are done bankrupting the universities.... 😜

If you’re tired of explaining yourself and the misreporting of the Peggie tribunal to your lazy and ignorant friends save your energy and send them this.

Would explain it, but not why they chose not to edit it before publishing.

That would explain it, though not to me excuse it. At least run it past an editor and strip all the verbal ticks out...

Content aside, that style of writing really irks me. "I mean,....", "And actually",... "And look"....

You're writing a column, not chatting to your mates in the pub. I think we can take as read that anything in the piece is stuff that you think, without constantly reminding us "I think". Grr...

Was it the first renewal of your UK passport after acquiring the other nationality? Just wondering if its a "we need to register it once" thing, or a recurring requirement.

I've gone through the process, being dual Danish and (now) British, while living in Scotland. You have to send in your naturalization certificate and "the passport you entered the country on" when applying for your first UK passport. But pretty sure that is only the first time not renewals.

An independent taskforce *just* did a huge review of ADHD in England, and the conclusion was that it's "under-recognised, under-diagnosed and under-treated."

personal bugbear: I can get behind this only on the proviso that everyone is required to explicitly mention "percentage of what" each time they use one. Drives me loopy the amount of times random percentages are thrown around without context.

Has anyone looked into whether the budget for "various stationary items" in Westminster has exploded lately?
