And if the new thing happens to be an expansion or sequel to something I've already made, then that's what I'll make.

Sequels, expansions, whatever, you name it.

I don't have time for that. Just because *you* happen to like this work, but not my others, does not make this work any more precious than the other ones.

I would rather make new things for new people. And if you're still with me, to you, as well.

Like, why is it that there's an expectation of updating, expanding, bettering, continuing stuff that already exists?

Why is a game without support "dead"? Why isn't it just "done"?

I am someone who honestly dislikes doing updates, going back to things I've already finished.

The creator's curse is oscillating all the time between "It's amazing" and "It fucking sucks"

I will admit that I had to dig into the deep crevices of my brains for this one.

Absolutely. I haven't really gotten any ENNIE noms myself, and ran an okay Backerkit campaign this year, and have topped the itch physical game charts on a few occasions.

Still, outside of major releases and exceptional moments, it's the same experience. Just a few sales per month.

*jots to notes for the PbtA games I'm developing*

Honestly, I didn't even realize I might have been failing this.

I am not immune to the allure of just doing physical labor.

The problem with this is that I don't really have resources to start making board games, shit's expensive.

But then again, if a board game pops off, it *really* pops off.

Sheesh.

Love it when platforms are like this.

I'm OOTL, what's happening?

True and righteous.

The last video game that I remember for having weird music is Demon's Souls 2009. Funny, considering it's a spiritual successor to King's Field.
