Yes, it was quite the headache 😫 I ended up using stat(54) and stat(56) to keep in sync with the music, and rewrote the patterns on the fly to make the the sounds play at the exact right time when the player's timing was perfect. I tested it on a couple of platforms and it was pretty robust!
