Last night I finished editing draft 2.2 with two minutes to spare before it clocked at midnight. I reached my goal but my god I was tired. Next steps is to put it in a word document and send it to people to read ✨✨

Happy Sunday and I want to edit two chapters today. Stretch goal will be three.
After some caffeine, food, and a cozy couch, I'm half way through chapter 19. Do I think the emotions hit fully yet? No, but this is only draft two. We'll get there.

Gonna go even further: don't refer to it as "consuming media" when doing this. You aren't a consumer - it's not a product. You read books. You look at art. You watch movies and/or videos. Be careful about word choice.

I'm being so real right now, learn how to engage in media as art and not a reflection of your own real life morals. consume things that make you uncomfortable and understand why it makes you uncomfortable. Don't just base yours and others morals standings on the media you consume.

I went to visit my sisters today and we sat on a cliff and looked at the ocean. The sun has defrosted my mind and time to knuckle down on these projects. Editing the novel, work on this short story.

It is lies and hate, it is division and extremism, it is a political party reliant on fear campaigns that polarise and spread fear and confusion. Australia has said no to MAGA politics.
