For the #internationalwomensday2025 post I’m thinking of this amazing woman - Tamar, Queen of #Georgia 🇬🇪 - first woman to rule there (as king (mepe)) Ruled Georgia in a golden age, late 12th/early 13th c. celebrated here on a fresco, bejewelled and crowned from the Church of Dormition in #Vardzia.
