Despite only getting back from the Lake District yesterday, I'd planned to turn right back around and head to the Peak District for the weekend.
I fortunately weather warnings and a timid dog that is scared of wind have put an end to that plan. Instead today will be filled with editing photos.

Got back in the water today for a dip. Felt bliss after the heatwave we’ve been having and a great start to our Sunday. Even got a fleeting glimpse of the resident otter! 🦦

Attempting to do a slightly better job this time around, I've aerated the whole lawn by hand, dug out the wild grass and scrapped away the dead bits, reseeded again and filled with compost.
Fingers crossed it starts to resemble a lawn soon!

Attempting to do a slightly better job this time around, I've aerated the whole lawn by hand, dug out the wild grass and scrapped away the dead bits, reseeded again and filled with compost.

This grass has been the bane of my life for the past 3 years. Every year I reseed and feed it. It looks good for a couple of weeks and then back to this!
I have been guilty of just checking some seed down and watering regularly though.

Whilst catching up on some gardening earlier this week I spotted this little thing shooting up from the raised flower bed.
It nearly ended up in the big with the rest of the weeds before I had a second thought to try and ID it first.

Whilst catching up on some gardening earlier this week I spotted this little thing shooting up from the raised flower bed.

I've been either up or around my local hill most days for the past 2 weeks, and each time the visible peak has been scattered by silhouettes of people out enjoying the sun and the views.
It's great to see people getting out to what is a beautiful spot, just not when it ends up left like this!
