Despite only getting back from the Lake District yesterday, I'd planned to turn right back around and head to the Peak District for the weekend.

I fortunately weather warnings and a timid dog that is scared of wind have put an end to that plan. Instead today will be filled with editing photos.

Throughout June I challenged myself to spend some time everyday out in nature. It didn’t go quite to plan though.

I’ve wrapped up how the month went with some reflections on whether the challenge worked out or not.

Got back in the water today for a dip. Felt bliss after the heatwave we’ve been having and a great start to our Sunday. Even got a fleeting glimpse of the resident otter! 🦦

Watching the sunset of the Irish Sea last night. Adventure brings with it solitude, as I stood by myself with no one for company other than some grazing sheep.

Thinking of trying to get off the roads a bit on my gravel bike. Anyone got any good routes for the Peak District?

This grass has been the bane of my life for the past 3 years. Every year I reseed and feed it. It looks good for a couple of weeks and then back to this!

I have been guilty of just checking some seed down and watering regularly though.

This is a really cool idea I'm going to have to try... As if I don't have enough cameras!
Two good things in life:

Picking up trash
Spending time in the outdoors taking photos

So why not try making a pinhole camera out of an old can? I love the dreamy images produced, where each day’s arc of the sun becomes a solid stripe across the page.

Whilst catching up on some gardening earlier this week I spotted this little thing shooting up from the raised flower bed.

It nearly ended up in the big with the rest of the weeds before I had a second thought to try and ID it first.
