A Russian company marks one of their asbestos products with a trump logo…

This is a photo of Fort McHenry in Baltimore. The inner fort has a five-sided appearance because 5 two-story brick buildings surround a central courtyard. In the center of the courtyard is a tall flagpole with an American flag. The building on the far side of this image has a large gateway in the center, leading outside the fort. Surrounding this is a ring of brick & dirt walls which were defensive works for cannons and soldiers. At each corner of the pentagon the walls project further out like diamonds attached to each corner. Historians call this style of fort a star fort because of its shape. In front of the outside of the gateway is a pair of dirt & brick defensive walls forming a V shape, point outwards. People wanting to enter the fort would have to pass right or left of these defensive walls and then go behind them (at the open part of the V) to get to the gate. The day is sunny and the grass surrounding the fort is a lush green like it is in Spring. In the background you can see Baltimore harbor - the fort is located next to the water. The national anthem The Star Spangled Banner documents the British attack on Fort McHenry during the War of 1812.

Bezo’s $500 million three-masted yacht (Koru) has a $75 million support yacht (Abeona) - because his fiancé didn’t like having her helicopter on the Koru.

The Abeona also carries their jet skis, sports cars, motorbikes and smaller boats.

There’s a discussion on the other site that trump’s aides/handlers may have shown him figures for raw gasoline with no additives, etc, at the oil refinery and told him they were for finished gasoline at gas stations.

To me, this is the most important part: The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for February was revised down by 15k, from 117k to 102k, and March was revised down by 43k, from 228k to 185k. That means employment in Feb. and March combined is 58k lower than Trump's administration previously reported. I remember when MAGA screeched about revisions of less than 5k under Biden. I remember when they screeched when Biden's job numbers were even revised UP, not down. Pretty sure we'll see them revise the 177k jobs added down in April too, because this economy is a dumpster fire.

ViteRaman is a company selling high-protein nutritious Raman noodles, soups, etc in the US.

Started as a KickStarter, it’s a labor of love by its founders.

Feeling a bit silly though - until I went to Gibson’s, I didn’t realize I had already read one of John Scalzi’s books - Starter Villain. 🤪

NO. Does my brain think in sentences like "she showed me the button. I pushed the button."? YES. I love it. There are no dragons. Or sharks with laser beams attached to their heads. The dolphins will swear at you, though, and call you a scab.

The US abortion rate has dropped faster during Democratic administrations than Republicans because of better economies and successful pro-life policies.

It started going back up in 2017 for the first time in 37 years during the trump administration.

This is a graph of US abortions per 1,000 women aged from 15-44 years old per year, as reported by the Guttmacher Institute. The chart is color-coded to show if the President at the time was a Democrat or Republican. The graph begins in 1974 and ends in 2020. The graph shows a rapid increase in the US abortion rate from 1974 to 1980. The rate plateaued then started to decrease during the Carter administration, with the rate dropping faster under Democratic administrations. This continued through 2016 - the end of the Obama administration. The US abortion rate began increasing again in 2017 after Trump’s first major tax cut for the wealthy and corporations - which was funded in part by cutting social programs.

If you look at the Oval Office photo of trump and ministers praying for him, the FIFA Club World Cup trophy is on the right.

Apparently FIFA executives visited him earlier and left the trophy with him.
