So many places need our help right now, but this is an excellent choice. People who've been doing good works in the community for decades and will be taking in a lot of pets who need a place to stay, including many with medical needs.

So many places need our help right now, but this is an excellent choice. People who've been doing good works in the community for decades and will be taking in a lot of pets who need a place to stay, including many with medical needs.
For me, the New Year is always a time of reflection and gratitude. I’m so grateful for friends and family who bring me joy and strength. I’m also reflecting on the progress we made this year in the fight to end gun violence: Together, we passed over 85 gun safety laws in 28 states last year.

It’s tempting to be cynical in the age of Trump, but, as Stephen Beshloss writes, “cynicism and resignation are exactly what … the Trump sycophants, the pillagers and plunderers who despise our system of self-governance are counting on.” We the people own our democracy and must stay engaged.
Say No to Cynicism
We can endure and overcome the coming onslaught, but that requires not being overwhelmed or seduced by defeatism
