That said, this wouldnt be worth pursuing if it didn't include player interactivity. The trail is not invincible, and can be scattered with enough force. These systems will be barebones for 1.0, but I hope to eventually add many ways for the player help, or hurt, the trail. With consequences

Nicke has been getting the last major campaign systems implemented, including trackers for the Trail's progress and status to make things easy to keep tabs on for the player

The events currently are: Player Discovery, Public awareness, economic integration, economic detatchment, leaving the sector

A big reason I need to get this design out of my head is because I'm generally not enthusiastic by how most media does 'alien' spacecraft. It frequently tries to pursue visual language that wants to be whatever we wouldn't do and as a result seldom ends up looking very interesting to me.

If you're wondering, the last three are the result of hulls that are modified Domain-spec or built primarily out of wreckages thereof, and to the lizards, adopting a native designation seems proper over assigning one of their own.

im gonna need quite a few portraits, so I'm experimenting with different workflows to see if I cant get acceptable results out of something that doesn't take 3-4 hours to draw

so far, no dice, but I'm throwing failures into the roster anyway, I'd rather not get stuck on this going for perfection

Its a bit ostentatious for one person, but the size of late game crafting utilities was going to force me to expand.
