I further entropy, usually by trying (and failing) to bring order to my little corner of the chaos.
As I read these, in my head, I keep hearing Simon Whistler in his Casual Criminalist series saying in his clipped British accent, "Don't write down your crimes!"

... Or do, since I'm not on the side of these abusers. I hope every one of these people get outed and face accountability.

It's fun when people discover a new hobby.

What a terrible time to be literate.

Anything about spicy food and a Ring of Fire, for instance. 😂

I think my neighbors hate me enough already. 😂

Of course cops deploy chemical weapons at whim. I learned this when the PPB gassed my neighborhood five years ago, then did it again a couple weeks later in a different area of town.

We need to #BanChemicalWeaponsNow to protect ourselves from the cops at all levels.

It's a pattern years long.

The EV adoption cycle is as follows almost always
1) evs are a fad
2) evs are fine but I’d miss the feel of a real car too much
3) I’ll try an ev
4) wait…I love this?
5) Let me tell you all about ev’s, friend

*mutters into my drink about 2E kids like me in my youth who need to be encouraged in their strengths AND supported in their weak areas to learn how to function in society*

See, I know they're fixing this as a big, but it's a perfect launching place for a feature. DF's main selling point is emergent behavior, after all.

Yeah, I had similar feelings in 2016 as a person in IT about maybe, FINALLY, having a serious conversation about the security and cultural implications of the SMTP email protocol, and, well... 🤷‍♂️🥃

Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes is such a great song and album.

Worst interpretation of the Jimmy Buffett song, "We Are The People Our Parents Warned Us About."

I can't imagine what Ted Kennedy or LBJ or even Harry Reid would make of today's Senate. Probably be slightly less pissed off than Teddy Roosevelt at what's going on in the White House, but TR was a, um, special case. 😂

By accepting a pardon, doesn't that amount to an admission of guilt, even as they're forgiven at the federal level for their crimes?

Could such an acceptance be used in their state trials, since it's part of the public record, now?

Yeah, that's why I've gravitated more towards the Working Families Party after getting weirded out by the local DSA die-hards. I'd still support a DSA person over an establishment Dem, though, given the choice. I voted for my last Republican in my lifetime over a decade ago, of course.

Following in the footsteps of President Teddy Roosevelt, who actually challenged people to fistfights in the Oval Office to settle policy disputes? Long and proud tradition, that.

💯, the shut down is the only thing giving Johnson even a hint of an excuse, illegitimate as it is, to refuse to swear her in. I'm not sure if a Motion to Vacate the Chair would take precedence, but it'd be funny if he tried to delay fate a little bit longer by pitching the House into a Speaker fight

Dog that caught the bus. 🤷‍♂️ They have no idea how to govern, because they don't think govt should work.

We gotta keep reinforcing that image from now until, well, the GOP stops being fascist, which I think is an open question whether that'll happen before they have a complete collapse like the Whigs

My ancestors all got here over a century ago, so I'm here for the duration. Besides, my kid is here, & I don't think I could get her mom to move to Europe or Canada with me, so my goal is to reduce as much suck in my vicinity as possible.

It doesn't have to suck. We can make it suck less if we try.
