I'm a geology professor in central California, avid birder, traveler, photographer, and environmentalist. I'm pro-democracy, and I stand for the equality for all. Little attention paid to DMs.

PS: The sky really opened up today, and a cloudburst parked itself over our town. We got another 2.92 inches, the most I've recorded in a single day in 35 years at this address. 6.59 inches for the 5 days, half a normal year's precipitation.
