Pretty sure I'm the only human on Earth who did today's Immaculate Grid with completely random 90s/early 2000s Marlins players.

I won't stand for Junior Felix or Chris Hammond erasure.

Who's ready to play Mass Extinctions and Dragons with my Climatology class tomorrow in my Paleoclimates lecture? I came up with this DnD-esque game last year, and like every great DnD gm after a total party kill, I made no changes at all for this year!

You: Florida is a vibrant state with a wonderfully diverse population over 20 million, a dynamic landscape, and a colorful history. Steve, you can't describe it with just one picture

Construction on the new medical building in my campus is so loud it's literally shaking the Mardi Gras tree in my office 🚧🏗️

Hey #AMS2025 go see my fantastic student Abby Kratsch and her poster which summarizes the research we've done in the Galápagos Islands the past two years. Microclimates vary temperatures far more than expected on San Cristóbal Island at elevation. Poster is at 3:00 in Hall C. Wish I could be there!

Don't think I've ever had such a bad academic calendar for a semester:
--Later than normal start
--Spring Break stacked on top of Mardi Gras*
--Easter is super late
--Midterms due earlier(?) than normal
--Conferences at beginning and end of semester

*Big deal on the central gulf coast iykyk

What happens to your Spotify wrapped when you spend 3 months in Germany, build a playlist with your study abroad students (who you took to Germany), teach a Spin Class at your university gym, and build a playlist for the GIS lab with your students?

Two words: Musical Chaos 🌪️🔥🌋⚡🎶🎶🎶

Today is Zora's 9th birthday. After being abandoned on the street, she followed me home - scared, underfed, and in heat. She's since grown in to becoming a master seat stealer, a cuddle ninja, and the requester of an infinite amount of pets.
