Never heard of a tewer and lived in Oxfordshire and Warwickshire most of my life. The term Jitty is used locally to me.

Good clinical reasons why ear syringing stopped and been replaced with microsuction. Also ear care rarely part of GP contract so in effect they really were providing a service "for free". Some primary care networks may be commissioned to provide at one venue within the pcn.
