Thrilled to officially share the news that Mayo Dark Sky Park at Wild Nephin National Park is the proud recipient of International Dark Sky Place of the Year award. It means a great deal considering there are now over 200 dark sky places around the world!

Brilliant news. It was such a tragedy to read of the fire destroying such a wonderful new facility - having visited Galloway DSP several times, I can’t wait to get back and see the new observatory in future! Congratulations!
