Writing is a craft that people spend their lives honing.

A healthy craft economy involves people buying their work.

A sick one is where the only people making the craft are well-off hobbyists who are bored with their real jobs.

Fair enough but *this* paragraph makes me want to punch the author in the throat.

Yeah usually the one boy either becomes:
-Annoying sex pest/harem leader
-Mysterious love interest who barely does anything (I'm talking about you tuxedo mask)
-Boy who is always fucking up all the time

The one girl usually is thrown in for homosexual panic and often gets forced into love interest.

I don't think Stand by Me would be the same kind of story if there was 1 girl.

I don't think Madoka would be the same kind of story if there was a few magical boys.

Like I definitely think there's a time and a place for co-ed cast stories but I think we start to lose something when all stories ever are co-ed casts.

I actually ended up starting from the very beginning with my oldest kid, because she loves Pokémon.

I think it genuinely was more interesting when Ash wasn't always right, basically. The first season has him fucking up left and right, with Brock and Misty basically course-correcting him.
