Has anyone ever studied the issue of whether carbon capture technologies basically violate the Second Law of Thermodynamics? Creation of order always entails creation of more disorder elsewhere.

Has anyone done the entropy math on carbon removal? Something tells me it’s only a boondoggle. The Earth does it with all its processes and it still takes hundreds of thousands of years.
