Actually I started playing 5|0, having never really tried and I've realised just how much more comfortable than I am in 3|0 and even 3|2.
I actually feel just as good as I do in Rapid now, so I do think I can get over 2000 Blitz rating as well.

After a tough loss yesterday, I prepared thoroughly against the Budapest and King's Indian, seeing that my opponent had played both in the past.
I was happy to see her go for the Budapest, I'd prepped this exact line until Move 16.

Game 2 of the U2050 Amateurs in Liverpool.
After a tough loss yesterday, I prepared thoroughly against the Budapest and King's Indian, seeing that my opponent had played both in the past.
I was happy to see her go for the Budapest, I'd prepped this exact line until Move 16.

Here's where I started to get real suspicious. Any human would play Rc1 here, surely. But they played Ke2. Like that's madness to me. It was the second best move in the position. Funnily enough, they played a lot of second best moves in this game...

Just played a game against the most obvious cheater I've ever come across. It's absolutely ridiculous that @chess.com would even think they're doing a better job on catching cheaters. They're not. If I don't see that ELO back in my account soon I'm gonna lose my mind.

Shouldn't be too difficult to see why, as I unleashed a double threat where black is sure to lose material. Anything other than moving the knight on d5 loses the Queen, so they're forced to give up the knight on g4.

But they weren't. Taking the seemingly free pawn, at the expense of doubling up their own pawns.

What an intense classical game. I hate playing against the English, but after the opening I was OK. I made some inaccuracies that created weaknesses and ended up with a bishop v 2 disconnected pawns. Happy to have found the best defence with only 30s left.

The Alien Gambit is a bad opening if you know the best ideas to counter it.
c5 is something you should instinctively play as early as possible. You want to put pressure on the centre and look for ways to force a queen trade. Once that happens, white is just objectively worse.
