Actually I started playing 5|0, having never really tried and I've realised just how much more comfortable than I am in 3|0 and even 3|2.
I actually feel just as good as I do in Rapid now, so I do think I can get over 2000 Blitz rating as well.

After a tough loss yesterday, I prepared thoroughly against the Budapest and King's Indian, seeing that my opponent had played both in the past.
I was happy to see her go for the Budapest, I'd prepped this exact line until Move 16.

I'm so happy to see this and finally feel the Left can get some momentum.

1 loss, 4 draws in my first ever FIDE chess tournament.
Must say I was not prepared in the first couple of games, but my loss was probably my best performance!
Learned so much about what I need to do to prepare. I'll be stronger for the next one!
Amazing event though, loved every minute.

Just played a game against the most obvious cheater I've ever come across. It's absolutely ridiculous that @chess.com would even think they're doing a better job on catching cheaters. They're not. If I don't see that ELO back in my account soon I'm gonna lose my mind.

If you want to improve your Chess, I couldn't recommend Chess Vibes (NM Nelson Lopez) enough. He does an excellent of explaining concepts in a more accessible way than anyone else. If you're under 1600 I guarantee your chess will improve watching his rating climb videos.

Always been a big fan of Tsunoda, but this is awful. Really poor performance this weekend. Needs to pick himself up for Monaco.

Never forget that Dunt the cxnt laughed at what every single actual left-wing person was telling him about Starmer. He ridiculed the Left & now he's moaning because the man he fought so hard to put in power is doing exactly what he said he would. Dunt, like O'Brien, is a theatrical faux left moron.
The worst element of what happened this week isn't even about immigration specifically. It's that Starmer surrendered against populism.

Just entered the U2050 section of the British chess champs :)
Was considering the Open section, but while I'd probably learn quite a bit from the higher rated players, I think playing more players around my level for my first tournament would be more enjoyable.
Anyone else on here going?
