I’m not, but I wish I was! An article like this would have been a real accomplishment for a 10 year old.

I think my biggest accomplishment that year was probably beating Zelda 2 on the NES if I recall correctly.

There is a Pumpkin Beer festival in Seattle, featuring 60 pumpkin beers on tap. That is a shocking variety of pumpkin beers! 🎃🍺🎃🍺

I got to see the new UCSD CSE machine room. The approach to cooling is dramatically different than the older machine room, with a focus on in-rack heat exchanging into liquid which is pumped out of the room. It's pretty neat, and quite impressive!

These days, when your NSF grant proposal shows as "pending" 7 months after you submitted it, does that mean it's still alive? Or has the person who was supposed to evaluate it fired? Or was the person who runs research.gov fired? So many mysteries...
