The crowds were particularly impressive given all the misinformation (it wasn't the same people as in June) about this protest!

Just in case anyone thought Trump was fighting for anyone but his friends: this is part of what all the cuts to the safety net and programs that literally benefit everyone (EPA, USDA, CFPB, etc) are financing.

On the first point: even if our institutions haven't done well by everyone, preserving democracy preserves the potential for it to do better in the future. Slipping further into authoritarianism isn't going to help anyone but Trump and Musk.
