Now's the time of testing. Deny the training miles, stay home where it's warm and dry? Or choose the winter path, see beauty in free-coursing water and look through veils of rain. #running #cumbria

Do your soul some good, go and visit Haunted Paper, but give yourself the time you need to digest the sheer breadth and brilliance of Jeff Young's artwork and words.
“I feel what makes Haunted Paper so compelling is the way these works reveal Young’s creative process. With this comes a sense of vulnerability and relatability. The collages are not separate to the writing, but part of its very foundation.” Darcie Chazen.
I wrote about this kinetic sculpture for the new edition of Science & Magic, the Violette Records newsletter. There's also a lovely review by Darcie Chazen of my 'Haunted Paper' show. AND my Misadventures in Music playlist! A feast!

Ageing is an attunement to time.

This subtle pause, the daytrippers have returned to their cars, the birds yet to begin their conversations with the night, a downy silence, the warmth of summer trapped beneath the trees, footsteps muted in the scents of pine.

Breathe… do not count the breaths.
