It’s sold as this, & others are saying it, too: This is a big wet sloppy kiss to Saturday Morning Cartoons, because it is one. It’s goofy & somewhat episodic, yet easy to take seriously because even in the more rough bits it saves the day by being so damn charming. #Superman #SupermanMovie

But that ending really does threaten to upend everything that came before. A total 180 in terms of tone that left me confounded as to why they’d choose to end #28YearsLater at this specific point. Even so, I really did like this. Danny Boyle is back, babbyyy.

Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes are so good here. Alfie Williams is superb. I loved the music and general look of the film. There’s a lot of wild Boyle style thrown in here that’s both exciting & brain-rattling. Some real meaty themes to sink your teeth into. #28YearsLater

The power of David Lynch cannot be overstated. He could show you the deepest, darkest parts of Hell and then flip a switch to reveal the beating heart behind every bit of beauty in the world, sometimes in the same moment. A singular talent that will never be replicated.
