Really can't overstate how problematic robotaxis become at scale:

"Urban traffic is constrained by the fact that getting around by car either requires (expensively) paying someone else to drive or (inconveniently) driving oneself. Without such constraints the result could be brutal gridlock."
Self-driving cars will transform urban economies
A robotaxi boom is coming. The impacts might be broader than you expect

"Geography is one of the most radical, essential and interdisciplinary ways of understanding our world. It explores how systems of power, trade and technology shape our lives, who controls space and who is excluded"
"Geography is not just a way of thinking. It’s a way of becoming more aware, more grounded, more connected. It’s about seeing your place in the world clearly enough to act in it and, we hope, to remake it"

Antarctica’s melt affects everybody but won’t hit every coastline the same.

New maps show where seas could rise the fastest, and why millions of coastal residents should pay attention now 🌊
Sea level doesn’t rise at the same rate everywhere – we mapped where Antarctica’s ice melt would have the biggest impact
Understanding what happens to Antarctica’s ice matters, because as it melts, sea levels rise, affecting lives and economies around the world.
