Mostly analogue / chemical photography. Returned to film in 2020. Cameras used are Konica, Argus, Lomo, and FED for the most part. There will probably be very little "great" photography here, as I enjoy stumbling along the learning curve.
Yet another reason why I returned to film photography, almost six years ago now. My truth is on a strip of film, a literal, physical mark left by light.

Developing my film in the home lab gives me mad scientist vibes.

Ah, a good Fox News host dress. Didn't catch that at first.

The biblical reference was to the universality of the human condition, but yes, yes, and yes, democracies of various kinds were not a complete unknown prior to the founding of the US.

I do understand that, which leads me to think that while they may have a Kodachrome-like (K14) project in development, they have a very long way to go.

A Chinese company is in the process of developing a Kodachrome-style film. I have no idea how they would expect people to develop that film, unless they sold chemicals too. They are also working on Polaroid-style pack film, which I have a bit more hope for. Tons of cameras are just waiting for them.

Superman, or Superbro, as I think of it, was a weird movie. Skyler was definitely a strong point, as was Gathegi. If only Lois looked at Superman the way she looks at Mr. Terrific. 🤣

Thank you. You're very kind.

I live on that same planet, especially since I didn't know anyone else who did film. I met one person earlier this year, briefly, but that was it. Otherwise, I'm inspired by film friends online & I work in isolation.

Thanks. I've been at it for five years, consistently. Anything different seems to throw me a bit, though.

Good to know. Deleting today.

I generally used D-76, though recently I've begun using Arista Premium Developer, a liquid concentrate which is supposed to be chemically similar to Ilford DD-X. I'm not unhappy with the developer, just my own skills with it.

Oh cool. Thanks for the link. I returned to film in early 2020. My father had handed me his 1937 Brownie & I decided to put it back to work. Using caffenol made the experiment more affordable, but my recipe wasn't terribly scientific. I moved on to "regular" developers after 9 months or so.

It's been like a new lease on life for me. I'm attending balance classes for seniors at the Y and chair yoga -- things that would have been unthinkable to me a year or so ago.

Beautiful photography, lovely developing. I haven't used caffenol since Moses was in diapers. What formula are you using?
