I think the slipping standards of literacy and education in the US in particular is having a really deleterious effect on culture, because the global tastemakers and cultural gatekeepers come from a nation that made phonics education controversial and turned consumer brands into religions.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that album is literally the most eggy thing imaginable.
