A guy that I forgot was a free agent that I’d be all over if I was the Jays: Jose Leclerc. He had a surface level down year this year, posting a 4.32 ERA, but he had a better FIP than he did in both 2022 and 2023 and an xERA of 3.57. He was mostly just super unlucky in ‘24, with a .314 BABIP

57 (!) of Varshos 83 career OF DRS have come with the Jays. There hasn’t been a moment during the past 2 years where this was the wrong move.

I haven’t felt this excited for the Jays at any point in the last year since the day before Ohtani signed with LA. They’re set up for a really nice offseason Soto or not. It all depends on who the “guy” they get is, my money’s on Max Fried
