Gene Ontology
@geneontology.bsky.social
The Gene Ontology (GO, geneontology.org) knowledgebase is the world’s largest source of information on gene function. Our mission is to develop a comprehensive, computational model of biological systems, ranging from the molecular to organism level.
It's started!

If you're not in Geneva right now you're missing out on the 2025 Spring GOC Meeting! If you've registered to attend remotely, please check your emails for links. Recordings will be available to GOC members and registered guests shortly after the meeting.

The functional characteristics
(GO annotations) of each gene are here, divided by functional category (GO subset):
* Molecular Function
* Biological Process
* Cellular Component

It's now more crucial than ever to cite resources you wish to keep using- GO, @alliancegenome.bsky.social, etc. In addition to citing these references, GO asks users/tool devs/etc. to include the GO Release. Does GO really change that much?... Yes! 🧪
