the distinction here i think for me is that i don't think that this is something only possessed by a select lucky few (trans people) but is accessible to all humankind (a "feminism against cisness") whether or not they themselves may be trans. the half-century

Ah I heard French. In Britain I remember people calling infusions “hippie tea”

Plus isn’t a thing that Europeans don’t call it tea if it isn’t made with the tea plant but Americans call all hot water herbal infusions tea. That could scramble your results

At the same time, it will be a VERY different sort of Finding Out stage than successful power consolidation.

We are in cornered, wounded animal territory at this point.

We are going to get (even more) seriously mauled, but they are highly unlikely to prevail.

All of that spells even more accelerated horrors as the regime tries to fix things with the only real tools it has: cruelty, violence, disinformation.

Which will be BAD, there's no sugar coating that.

We are really about to enter a Finding Out stage.

GOP legislators have means (Epstein), motive (possibility of losing 2026 midterms thanks to Trump), and opportunity (bully pulpit).

They just have to decide whether they're ready to end Trump, finally.

The opinion desk is, with a few exceptions, staffed by dullards and reactionaries. Senior leadership has been on semi-open crusade against trans people. Star reporters covering Trump have seemingly held back info for books; those from the politics section openly launder right wingers as sources
