Quick intro: I'm a 29yo genderfluid white-passing Arab American originally from Indiana and now living in Tacoma, WA! I'm a social worker and nonprofit fundraiser by trade and strive to give back to my community in meaningful and intentional ways. 💞
My toxic trait is thinking that because my celiac test came back inconclusive years ago, I can occasionally eat gluten.
Decided to act on this belief & eat Sour Punch straws this weekend while camping.
As I sit on the toilet, I admit my reasoning did not ward off the impact of eating gluten.

Update: I spent an hour with a lovely human named Robin watching other people's baskets while they ran across the street to the ATM. Lovely time, vibes from people were great. 10/10 Thursday entertainment

Top surgery tomorrow 🔪 Thankful for my loving partner who happens to be a nurse as she's helping me feel so safe and cared for ahead of it
When my partner & I flew out of SeaTac earlier this week, a woman huffed loudly and asked Talia (who is visibly queer) if there were any gendered bathrooms in the airport. She then took a picture of the sign after Talia explained that she was sure there were other bathrooms. We laughed a lot after 🤣

it’s interesting that they’re trying to ban trans people from the military. from what i’ve heard they’re super soldiers who are too good at sports and athleticism

Visiting Indiana rn to see family & it really reminds me of how awe-inspiring organizers in deep red states are. Organizing comes with its own challenges anywhere, but it's pretty incredible to see the ways folks are pushing against huge obstacles to make things better
