Good morning, and rememver, no matter how bad a day you may have, you’re not Samuel Pepys who, overnight, had shit in the chimney. Twice.

Looking for playtesters for an upcoming sci-fi horror game kind of like shadowdark meets ten candles meets mothership.

If you want to test it with your group, send me a DM on Bluesky and I’ll send you a free copy.

"The degree to which you resist is the degree to which you are free," Utah Phillips said, and as far back as Epictetus as not farther, people who have lived through extreme privation havs taught that part of survival is keeping your mind free and unsubjugated.

Soooo, turns out I didn't actually sprain it.

Kinda broke my foot a bit though.
Well, I managed to do the most me thing ever today. Fell down some stairs and sprained my ankle because I was excited about seeing a dog.

A nurse told me I have 'beautiful veins' today, so I guess that's just one more reason to be furious that a sexy vampire has not yet claimed me as his eternal bride.

They cancelled it. Fuck's SAKE
Back on here for the first time in months (hello!) to say if you haven't seen KAOS on Netflix yet, you should remedy that at the earliest opportunity. Gods, I hope they don't cancel it.

So Harry from The Traitors, a young man who ingratiated himself with a bunch of people in a big house then murdered them to gain a fortune, isn't quite as working class as he made out? Wait...

We’re watching RENFIELD tonight, so I’m making a paprika-heavy stew in honour of poor delicate-stomached Jonathan Harker.

If you're feeling a bit down, you can always buy a discounted advent calendar and just tear into it however you like. You'll have chocolate, but more importantly you will feel like an all-powerful chaotic entity who can literally devour time.

Finally did Barbenheimer over the weekend and, after all the unbridled feminist joy of the former, it was extra disappointing (if not remotely surprising) to see two terrific actresses being relegated to the roles of ‘Annoyed’ and ‘Boobs’.

I don’t often listen to audiobooks, but since I now get 15 hrs a month on Spotify, can anyone recommend a book that works particularly well in this format, or has a really great narrator?

People who are like "but I can't make art so I need AI to make art" don't actually want to *make* art, they just want art with as little effort and cost as possible.

EVERYONE can make art. If the art you make in your chosen form isn't as good as you want, you have to practice. The end.

Last week's read, which I bought purely for the title, was MURDER YOUR EMPLOYER by Rupert Holmes - the 1950s-set story of three students at a secret university for would-be killers with a just cause. A touch overlong, but clever, darkly satisying and wickedly funny.
