Variety Streamer, Raichu Appreciator, and sometimes game modder, overall Hamster! Come say hi at http://twitch.tv/gemini_hero
Alllrighty, happy Tuesday morning everyone and as promised, the FINALE of the Raichu animations! Or at least, the finale of the first passes; next comes the revisions phase, but that will be a lot less organized, and no more daily updates. I will be popping in for any big revisions though!

Aaaand I hope everyone had a great week, Happy Friday! My plan was to close out the Raichu animations today, BUT it turns out I miscalculated one more time; this animation is actually split into 4 parts. So, I'll share the first 2 parts here (air side b start & charge) and do the final 2 on Monday!

Happy Thursday everyone! Here's the deal, this final Raichu animation is a 3 parter! That means I'm gonna be waiting until tomorrow to get you all the parts at once to show it off properly, but to hold you over, here's the platform passthrough anim I hadn't uploaded yet!

JUST barely over, but happy Wednesday nonetheless! Got 2 Raichu animations for you guys today to make up for being slightly late, the ceiling bonk and the wall bump. Might do some touchups during the revision process, but I think it's a good baseline at least!

Monday was a bit rough, but Tuesday's looking better! Part 2 to that throw break Raichu animation from yesterday, the "jumping" break version. I also took a deep breath and revisited yesterday's animation, and I think overall it's a big improvement!

(Those vibrations are a different anim bug)

Happy Monday, and with any luck this will be the last week of new Raichu animations! But hoo boy, what a struggle today... animation program was being a huge pain and caused what should be a simple "throw break" anim to give me such a headache. I'll probably have to revisit this one sometime.

Congrats on making it to Friday! Everyone's earned a good nap I'd say, Raichu included! Today's animation finishes off his sleep cycle with the "waking up" part; just a few months ago this one gave me such a headache, but as with everything some time and perspective makes a big difference!

It's also come to my attention that the Wednesday video started with a weird growling sound. Apologies for that, my microphone was on and I'd been having to clear my throat a lot recently. I re-recorded the Wednesday animations, which I'll be leaving here for posterity.

Happy Thursday everyone! Congrats on making it through the midweek; we've got a simpler Raichu animation to wind things down. This is the "Downed damage" anim, and the very last of our damage animations! Believe it or not, there are only FIVE ANIMATIONS LEFT!

Hope everyone's hanging in there this Tuesday. I've been a little low on energy myself, but Raichu's been rolling with the punches this week and so will I! Neutral flying knockback this time; that sorta "freeze" that happens at the end of the animation is yet another Melee quirk. Reference below!

Let's go, new week, new Raichu Animations, and we're almost done with all the damage stuff! The last few to go are the "heavy knockback" or "sent flying" anims. Nothing too special here but sometimes the animator's job is done right when it doesn't stick out too much. Partial reference in the reply!

Whew, made it to Friday, another week of Raichu animations down! Let's finish off strong with the final air damage animation; once again, got to reference a pose from an episode for this one! Wanted to make sure this made it in somewhere, and this seems like a pretty good spot for it.
October 10, 2025 at 7:08 PM
Thursday is here, and with it another Raichu animation! We're plugging our way through these damage anims, Air 2 this time; more impactful than the last, had some difficulty choosing a good pose for this one but I like the how the reference I found worked out!

Let's kick Wednesday off right with another Raichu anim! Wish these were more exciting to show, but the small stuff is important too! Air Damage 1 today, and being only 12 frames means you've gotta make them all count. Not too much, not too little, aiming to be just right feel-wise.

As promised, the full anim viewer version as well.
October 7, 2025 at 2:40 PM
Hope everyone's having a good Tuesday morning! An early Raichu animation this time, plugging through those low-hit anims again. This one was also real tough to show off; you can kinda see it in this clip I got in game with trial and error, but I'll respond with the viewer anim here again too.
October 7, 2025 at 2:38 PM
Happy Monday, we're back in the Raichu animation trenches again this week. Some of these next animations are gonna be harder to show off though; my next couple are "Damage Low" anims, and Raichu is so short it's very tricky to showcase in-game. Nonetheless, here it is in the anim viewer at least!

Friday is here and with it, the END OF THE RAICHU ITEM ANIMATIONS! This is a huge milestone for finishing Raichu, as there were a total of 39 animations in all. Our capper is the air scope animations, perhaps not the most exciting but very necessary nonetheless!

Thursday is here, and we're almost at the finish line! You've seen the rapid fire, but what about the BIG SHOT? Feels like I struggle with a lot of the more exaggerated Raichu animations sometimes, but ultimately I think I'm happy with where this came out. At the very least, it conveys the kickback!

Wednesday is here, along with a TRIPLE Raichu animation! This time, we've got the Super Scope start, rapid fire, and ending. I had a ton of fun with this one; Raichu has been to war after all, so of course he'd know how to handle a rifle! Using the tail as the stand was maybe my favorite part.
